Senate Eliminates Tax Credit Scholarship Program Annual Increases

HB 1001, the state's biennial budget bill,  passed out of the House and contained  an increase in Scholarship Tax Credit cap to $12.5M for the next fiscal year and provided for automatic 20% growth in future years.  The budget which passed out of the Senate appropriations committee --  eliminates the growth proposed by the House and keeps the Credit capped at $12.5 M.
